What’s a book, movie, or TV show that you wish you could experience again for the first time?
John Irving’s novel “A Prayer for Owen Meany” is my sentimental favorite. While I may have read other books that I loved more than this one, none come to mind since I first read it in the 1990s. I would love to read it again, but my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, so I listen to audiobooks now. However, knowing how Irving crafted this masterpiece, I realize that I just can’t listen to someone else try to speak like the novel’s namesake; my imagination could do a far better job than any narrator.
