“There’s a Rooster in the Henhouse”: A Six-Sentence Story

A couple of weeks ago, my favorite fellow yoga student asked the class if they would like to join a reading group with some other yoga students.

I have a hard time saying no to her; she is the most intriguing female of a group I mentioned in a previous post.

So a few weeks later I found myself in the corner of the yoga studio’s lobby chatting it up with my fellow yogis.

As the only man in a group of about nine people, I tried my best not to run my mouth–sometimes I can hijack a conversation with a group whenever the subject is books, cinema, music, or progressive politics.

If I am with my wife, she often would foil my attempt to take over the chat, and then I hear about it later.

Today, though, I caught myself alone; even old roosters can learn new tricks!
